Over 40 years of experience as an applied physicist and businessman specializing in technical marketing services, began his career in the early sixties at Razdow Laboratories, a NASA think tank. In 1966, formed his own company – Wild Rover Corp. The Company fathered monolithic switch technology (touch-operated switches). This technology is widely used today in such products as microwave ovens, cash registers, and phones. From 1974 to the present he has led the technology resource group, The Windessa Group (formerly RTS Research Lab, Inc.). Alex was a co-founder of, and through The Windessa Group helped conceive and develop the first portable bar code scanner, and for 12 years acted as overall program manager for Symbol Technologies, Inc. (a NY Stock Exchange Company now owned by Zebra). He holds over 100 patents and trademarks in the fields of optical electronics, barcode technology, power management, automatic inspection, and medical software. At Base10, a 30-year-old defense Company where Alex became Co-Chair, he worked extensively with the FDA and various pharma clients – Pfizer, Smith Kline, Wyeth, Pharmacia, etc., regarding software systems for controlling pharmaceutical R&D and manufacturing. Base10 became the first software provider ever to achieve FDA compliance for such systems. Alex is a recipient of a Special U.S. Congressional Recognition Award as a “Successful Entrepreneur.” In 1997 he was honored as Entrepreneur of the Year by his alma mater, Muhlenberg College, and was a Trustee for the College for 12 years, having chaired the Educational Policies and Faculty Affairs Committee and a member of the Finance Committee. He was awarded the Alumni Achievement Award. In 2006. He is a member of the Planning Board in the town where he resides and serves on various municipal committees.

Nick Mackres enlisted in the US Marine Corps Reserve in 1996 as a Private rising to the current rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He graduated from Columbia University in 1999 as a Mechanical Engineer. He was commissioned in 1999 as a Second Lieutenant where he earned his specialty as a Supply Officer. He was given the responsibility for supporting 2,000 personnel with global supply chain management throughout four locations in three different countries during three combat deployments to Iraq. Mr. Mackres left active duty service in 2005 and graduated Columbia Business School in May 2007.

Mr. Mackres acquired his financial skills while working for an aerospace & defense private equity firm (John F. Lehman & Co.). He joined the Windessa Group after business school and became a managing partner shortly thereafter. He currently assists his family business and is School Business Administrator for a public school in New Jersey while creating business plans and working on start-ups for the Windessa Group.

Mr. Mackres is a former founding partner in a renewable energy company that has installed hundreds of residential and dozens of megawatts of commercial/public solar systems. He continues to serve in the Marine Corps Reserve and has had the following positions: Public Affairs Officer, Emergency Preparedness Liaison Officer to FEMA Region II (NY, NJ, Puerto Rico, and US Virgin Islands), a Company Commander, Operations Officer and Executive Officer, Deputy Regional Coordinator for Readiness Support Program, Region III, and is currently the Commanding Officer of Marine Wing Support Squadron 472. He is a former member of the environmental board and school board member, and a current member of the planning board (chairperson) in the town where he resides.
